D2MA is a Hong Kong-based company focused on building and supporting AI-enabled digital ventures.
D2MA is structured to operate both as a parent company for multiple ventures and as an operating business in its own right. Its work spans software product development, specialist consultancy, licensing and commercialisation of internally developed intellectual property, and practical support for new digital initiatives.
The company is designed for execution. Rather than leaning on abstract innovation language, D2MA is intended to provide a clearer operating base for building useful products, supporting commercially relevant work, and developing ventures over time.
Founder
Founded by Dave Chapman
Dave Chapman is a Hong Kong-based entrepreneur, operator, and company builder with experience across financial services, technology infrastructure, public-market vehicles, and digitally enabled businesses. His background combines institutional finance, trading systems, operational build-out, capital formation, and the commercialisation of new ventures.
Before D2MA, Dave held roles at HSBC, Credit Suisse, Barclays Capital, ABN AMRO, and Bear Stearns, with a focus on trading systems, market infrastructure, and front-office technology. He later went on to co-found and help scale several technology-led businesses in Hong Kong, including OSL, ANX International, and Octagon Strategy.
OSL became a publicly listed, SFC-regulated and PwC-audited company, reflecting the kind of institutional, compliance-aware operating standards Dave has worked with at scale. Dave is also co-founder and COO of Quantum Leap Acquisition Corp, a special purpose acquisition company formed to raise US$200 million, adding public-market capital formation and listed-company execution to his operating experience.
Across his commercial work, Dave has built a reputation for combining strategic judgement with execution, particularly in businesses operating at the intersection of finance, software, infrastructure, and new market opportunities.
Through D2MA, that experience is being applied to the development and support of practical digital ventures with a strong operating foundation. In addition to his commercial work, Dave is involved in social impact and nonprofit leadership in Hong Kong, including board and volunteer roles supporting education, community development, and access initiatives.
